Some new information that crossed my desk today via this study.
My initial thoughts…
- Results were obtained in a mouse xenograft model for obvious reasons; results in human pregnancy may vary
- One day exposure didn’t have any effect. One week exposure was significant. Therefore, I don’t think this should affect sporadic acute treatment too much
- It’s good information to supply patients so they may adjust their use accordingly
I made this visual chart based on the summary contained in Appendix 1 of the CPS to help me remember it in advance of my PEBC exams. Feel free to use it if it helps you.
If there are any corrections to be made, feel free to drop me a note through my website or the email address on the .pdf and I’ll update it.
I created this chart based on the summary chart published by the Saskatchewan College of Pharmacists here.
If it helps anyone else learn or study this material then so much the better.
